Aluminum futures were trading higher during the noon trade in the domestic market on Tuesday after speculators built up fresh positions amid an uptick in demand at the spot market.

Analysts said fresh positions created by traders on positive demand from consuming industries mainly led to rise in aluminum prices.
At the MCX, aluminium futures for August 2019 contract is trading at Rs 141.60 per kg, up by 0.04 percent, after opening at Rs 141.70, against a previous close of Rs 141.55.
It touched the intra-day high of Rs 141.75 (at 13:20 hours).
